       Picturesque Regeneration (making decisions)
Carved and crushed sandstone, MDF and PVC tape
       13 x 60 x 60  cm

Another sandcastle-related sculpture like Castle ruin'd . This one is more of a small installation, that would change every time it was done, due to the random nature of creating the pile of stone dust (which is then encircled with PVC tape). It explores the aesthetic qualities of the making process in relation specifically to sandcastles, with metaphorical connections to urban re-development and my current interest in formal contrasts of geometric and organic forms.

Also a historical nod to The Picturesque when crumbling architectural ruins were created from scratch for aesthetic effect and perceived harmony with the natural landscape.
